The problem
Called at 10pm on a Sunday after the first hard frost. Water was coming through the kitchen ceiling and the stopcock had seized.

What we did
On site in 70 minutes. We isolated the supply at the boundary, cut out the split copper, fitted a new section and lagged the whole run through the loft. Tested it before we left.

The result
Water back on the same night, and a report for the insurer sent first thing Monday.
